By creating an account, joining a scavenger hunt, completing a task, submitting content, or otherwise using The Scav App, you agree to follow these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use The Scav App.

The Scav App allows users to:

• Create scavenger hunts
• Assign tasks or challenges
• Join games with friends, groups, schools, organizations, or communities
• Submit photos, videos, text, or other proof of task completion
• Earn points, badges, rankings, and levels
• Compete on leaderboards
• Interact with other users through app features

The Scav App is designed for fun, social competition, team-building, events, school activities, community games, and private group scavenger hunts.

To use certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep your login information secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You may not create an account using false information, impersonate another person, or use someone else's account without permission.

You must be at least 18 years old to use The Scav App. If you are under 18, you may only use The Scav App with permission from a parent or legal guardian. Parents, guardians, schools, organizations, or event hosts are responsible for supervising minors who use the app. The Scav App is not responsible for unsupervised use by minors.

Your safety is more important than points, rankings, prizes, or completing a challenge.

You agree not to create, assign, attempt, or complete any task that involves:

• Trespassing
• Breaking the law
• Harassment or bullying
• Dangerous stunts
• Violence or threats
• Vandalism or property damage
• Entering restricted areas
• Distracted driving
• Drug or alcohol use by minors
• Harmful, hateful, sexual, or discriminatory conduct
• Filming or photographing people where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy
• Any activity that could cause injury, danger, or legal trouble

You are responsible for using good judgment while participating in any scavenger hunt. If a task seems unsafe, illegal, inappropriate, or uncomfortable, do not complete it.

Users may upload or submit content including photos, videos, captions, usernames, team names, task responses, comments, and other materials. You are responsible for the content you submit.

By submitting content to The Scav App, you confirm that:

• You own the content or have permission to use it
• Your content does not violate anyone else's rights
• Your content does not break any laws
• Your content does not include private information without permission
• Your content is not hateful, threatening, obscene, abusive, or harmful

The Scav App may remove content that violates these Terms or that we believe is inappropriate, unsafe, or harmful.

When you upload or submit content to The Scav App, you give The Scav App permission to use, display, store, reproduce, and share that content as needed to operate the app. This includes showing your submissions to other players, hosts, teams, judges, moderators, or users involved in the scavenger hunt. You still own your content, but you give The Scav App the right to use it for app-related purposes. The Scav App may also use public or promotional submissions for marketing, social media, or promotional materials unless you request otherwise or your privacy settings prevent it.

Users who create or manage scavenger hunts are responsible for the tasks, rules, prizes, locations, and instructions they provide. Hosts and organizers agree that they will not create tasks that are unsafe, illegal, discriminatory, exploitative, or inappropriate. Hosts are responsible for making sure their scavenger hunts follow local laws, school rules, event rules, property rules, and safety requirements. The Scav App provides the platform, but it does not guarantee that every scavenger hunt created by users is safe, appropriate, or lawful.

The Scav App may allow users to earn points, badges, rankings, achievements, levels, or other rewards. These features are for entertainment and engagement purposes only. The Scav App may adjust, reset, remove, or correct points, levels, leaderboards, badges, or achievements if we believe there has been cheating, abuse, technical error, fraud, or violation of these Terms. Points and digital rewards have no cash value unless otherwise clearly stated by The Scav App.

Some scavenger hunts may include prizes or rewards. Unless The Scav App clearly states otherwise, prizes are the responsibility of the hunt organizer, host, school, business, sponsor, or group offering the prize. The Scav App is not responsible for third-party prizes, prize disputes, eligibility issues, tax obligations, or prize delivery unless we are the official sponsor of that specific promotion. Hosts are responsible for following applicable laws related to contests, promotions, sweepstakes, and prizes.

You agree not to cheat, exploit glitches, fake submissions, manipulate scores, use bots, create fake accounts, impersonate other users, or interfere with the game experience. The Scav App may suspend, remove, or ban users who cheat or violate fair play rules. We may also remove submissions, change scores, disqualify teams, or cancel results when needed.

The Scav App is meant to be fun, social, and positive.

You agree not to use the app to:

• Harass others
• Bully or intimidate users
• Post hateful or discriminatory content
• Threaten people
• Share private information
• Encourage dangerous behavior
• Spam users
• Impersonate others
• Disrupt games or events

We may remove users, teams, content, or scavenger hunts that violate these rules.

Some features may use location information to help users complete tasks, verify submissions, find nearby challenges, or participate in location-based hunts. By using location-based features, you agree that The Scav App may collect and use location data as described in our Privacy Policy. You should never share your location publicly if doing so could put you at risk. Hosts should avoid creating tasks that reveal private addresses, sensitive locations, or unsafe meeting points.

Your privacy matters.

The Scav App may collect information such as account details, usernames, submitted content, game activity, device information, location data, and communications within the app. How we collect, use, store, and share information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using The Scav App, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

The Scav App may include links, integrations, maps, payment processors, social media features, or third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, policies, payments, or actions. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

The Scav App may offer paid features, premium accounts, organizer tools, subscriptions, ticketed events, or in-app purchases. Prices, features, and billing terms will be shown before purchase. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. The Scav App is not responsible for payment processor errors, delays, or policies. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. The Scav App may change pricing, features, or subscription plans at any time, but changes will not affect paid periods that have already started unless required by law.

The Scav App, including its name, logo, design, features, code, branding, graphics, text, and technology, belongs to The Scav App or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, sell, reverse engineer, reproduce, or misuse any part of The Scav App without permission. You may use the app only for its intended purpose.

We work to keep The Scav App running, but we do not guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. The app may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, outages, or reasons outside our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

The Scav App may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, create safety risks, misuse the app, cheat, harass others, or engage in illegal or harmful activity. You may also stop using the app at any time. If your account is terminated, you may lose access to your profile, points, levels, submissions, teams, and scavenger hunts.

The Scav App is provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not guarantee that:

• Every scavenger hunt will be safe
• Every task will be appropriate
• Every submission will be accurate
• Every user will follow the rules
• The app will always work perfectly
• Leaderboard results will always be error-free
• Third-party hosts will provide promised prizes

Users participate in scavenger hunts at their own risk.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Scav App is not responsible for injuries, damages, losses, disputes, accidents, legal violations, property damage, user conduct, host-created tasks, third-party prizes, or events that happen during or because of a scavenger hunt. You are responsible for your own actions while using the app. Hosts are responsible for the scavenger hunts they create.

You agree to defend and hold harmless The Scav App, its owners, employees, contractors, partners, affiliates, and representatives from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the app
• Your content
• Your scavenger hunt tasks
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of the law
• Your harm to another person or property
• Your event, prize, or promotion

The Scav App may update these Terms from time to time. If we make major changes, we may notify users through the app, email, or another reasonable method. Your continued use of The Scav App after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, unless another jurisdiction is required by law. Any disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts located in California, unless otherwise required by law.
