What is The Scav App?
The Scav App is an all-in-one scavenger hunt app for the 21st century. It lets you create hunts, assign tasks, compete with friends, earn points, climb leaderboards, and level up through real-world challenges. - 02
How does The Scav App work?
Users can create or join a scavenger hunt, complete assigned tasks, submit proof, and earn points. Tasks can include photos, videos, check-ins, written responses, or other challenges depending on how the hunt is designed. - 03
Who can use The Scav App?
You must be 18 years or older to use The Scav App. By creating an account or participating in a hunt, you confirm that you are at least 18. - 04
Is The Scav App free?
The Scav App may offer free features, paid features, premium tools, subscriptions, or event-based pricing. Any paid features will be clearly shown before purchase. - 05
Can I create my own scavenger hunt?
Yes. Users can create their own scavenger hunts, add tasks, assign point values, invite friends, manage teams, and track progress. - 06
What kind of tasks can I create?
You can create tasks like photo challenges, video submissions, trivia questions, location check-ins, team missions, or custom challenges. Tasks should always be safe, legal, respectful, and appropriate. - 07
What types of tasks are not allowed?
Tasks may not involve trespassing, vandalism, harassment, dangerous stunts, illegal activity, violence, discrimination, privacy violations, or anything that could put someone at risk. No amount of points is worth getting hurt or breaking the law. - 08
How do points work?
Each task can be assigned a point value. When a player or team completes a task and the submission is approved, those points are added to their score. Points help determine rankings, leaderboard position, and level progress. - 09
What does it mean to level up?
Leveling up is a way to track your progress and activity in The Scav App. As you complete tasks, earn points, and participate in hunts, your account may unlock higher levels, badges, achievements, or other digital rewards. - 10
Can I play with friends?
Yes. The Scav App is built for playing with friends. You can join hunts together, form teams, compete against each other, and see how everyone ranks on the leaderboard. - 11
Can businesses or organizations use The Scav App?
Yes. The Scav App can be used for events, team-building, campus activities, brand activations, parties, community games, fundraisers, and local challenges. - 12
Do I need to share my location?
Some hunts may use location features for check-ins, task verification, maps, or nearby challenges. You can control location access through your device settings, but some features may not work without it. - 13
Who can see my submissions?
Depending on the hunt settings, your submissions may be visible to hosts, judges, teammates, other players, or users in that scavenger hunt. Do not upload anything you would not want others in the game to see. - 14
Can I delete my account?
Yes. You may request account deletion by contacting The Scav App at thescavapp@gmail.com. Some information may be kept when required for legal, safety, security, payment, or fraud-prevention reasons. - 15
What happens if someone cheats?
The Scav App may remove submissions, adjust scores, disqualify players, suspend accounts, or ban users who cheat, fake submissions, manipulate scores, exploit glitches, or break the rules. - 16
Are prizes guaranteed?
Some scavenger hunts may offer prizes, but prizes are usually managed by the hunt organizer, host, business, sponsor, or group offering them. Unless The Scav App is clearly listed as the official prize sponsor, we are not responsible for prize delivery or disputes. - 17
Can I report a task, player, or submission?
Yes. Users should report unsafe, illegal, inappropriate, abusive, or suspicious activity. The Scav App may review reports and take action when necessary. - 18
Is The Scav App safe?
The Scav App is designed to make scavenger hunts more organized, fun, and social. However, users and hosts are responsible for making safe decisions. Do not complete any task that feels unsafe, illegal, uncomfortable, or inappropriate. - 19
